Getting ready

I have a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks; specifically, guidance conference, the long weekend, and beginning my SPE residency. I'm at the point now where I just wish the next few days would pass quickly so I can get on with everything, but at the same time, I don't want any of it to start cause that means it's the end of my summer vacation. No more reading for leisure (and I still have over 500 pages to go in my book). No more scrapbooking all day long while Josh is at work. No more sleeping in. But it does mean the beginning of new friendships, continued growth, new experiences, lots of reading and work to be done, and much more. Hence, with my original weekend plans falling through, and my backup plans also falling through, I found myself spending a good deal of time today getting ready for some of my upcoming adventures. And when I ran out of things to do to get ready, I spent the rest of the day reading my book. After all, I still have 500 some odd pages I need to read before I start my residency on the 8th :)
