Home Alone Again

So once again it's that time of year again when Josh has to fly down to Florida and spends a few days at a conference, staying in a hotel, having meals paid for by work, and in general, be in Florida.  As I have no vacation, nor work for an organization who is willing to send me to nice warm climates on their dollar, I stay at home and work.  I must say, however, that having a dog makes this so much easier!!  I come home and the house isn't empty.  I can't skip dinner cause the dog will not be please if I don't feed her (not that she eats what I eat, but she knows she eats immediately after I do).  Even if the house is totally quite and I sit and read a book, I can just reach down and am reminded I am not alone.  Not to mention, when Josh is away there is still a warm body in the bed... well sort of in the bed.... more like I still have a foot warmer.  It's moments like these when I really stop to think how much I enjoy being a dog owner.  So in honour of my reflections on having Meeka keeping me company this week, I thought I'd share some pictures....

obviously they are from last winter cause we certainly have not had this much snow this year!!
