Home Sweet Home

Well another summer has come and gone, and I’ve hardly posted a thing all summer. So here’s a really brief overview of my summer to bring you all up to date.

June was spent camping. We spent a few days at The Pinary, another few days at Cyprus lake (Bruce Peninsula National Park), two hiking trips along the Bruce Trail around Owen sound and one hiking trip with Josh’s younger sister Shannon in Algonquin (a very wet yet enjoyable trip). July brought painting with it and we did one job in Mississauga then moved up to Chatsworth for the rest of the summer. Thanks to Josh’s mom we spent most of July and August painting two Ford dealerships (on the night shift) which made up the bulk of our summer work as well as a few other small jobs for people in the Chatsworth area.

Josh and I also helped his parents celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary as well as his Grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary. The Vanderstelt reunion also was a fun weekend of meeting more of Josh’s extended family. For my Birthday (Aug 26) Josh and I attended Gina and Steve's wedding (Josh's farely distant cousin) which was a lot of fun!! Josh and I also celebrated our 1st anniversary and finally got around to eating our layer of the wedding cake. We spent the last week of the summer at Josh’s family cottage with most of his family, and my family joined us up there for the long weekend.

It sure feels good to be home!
