Apparently when one does the same thing Monday through Friday every week it's hard to find new and interesting things to take pictures of. It's also hard to post daily new and exciting stories. That said, I'm not giving up just yet!! But here are a few catch up pictures from this week.
I decided with the sudden onset of cool weather that I would try to capture some of summers last blossoms between the raindrops. I meant to take a picture of the cemetery I was in on Monday, but totally forgot to do so before leaving. Why was I at a cemetery you might ask.... well, I did my first ever memorial service last Friday, and followed it up with my first ever interment service on Monday. Although it poured all day Monday, the rain stopped just long enough for us to gather and bid farewell to the loved one who was left in the ground. Overall, it was an interesting experience for me, if I do another one, I think I will do it a little differently (the interment that is), but I still think it went well.
Skip over to Friday, once again I spent Friday at the mountain site hospital for my pastoral counseling day. 222 stairs... this week I chickened out and only walked down the stairs... mind you, being followed up by a really angry man who was talking to the air and swearing up a storm kinda scared me off walking up the stairs by myself at 8:00 in the morning.
Josh and I had some friends over for dinner on Saturday, and so we broke out the homemade pizza once again. It's was so good. Josh keeps joking about opening a pizza place some day... "Pizza & Vino" is his name of choice so far, but I think he'll need to become Italian before he could pull it off... but the name does have a nice ring to it!
