Since School Ended…

Since school ended for the term it’s been a busy time. As for the job I applied for, I didn’t get it, but I’m not really disappointed at all. Actually, I’m getting really excited about school again. I’m taking two or three courses this summer, and I’ve already bought some of my books and done some reading. I also conducted my first service ever all by myself. I wrote and presented the sermon, I picked all the hymns (with help from my pianist), found a pianist, wrote the prayers, found the responsive reading, and everything else involved in a service. It was quite an experience!! But I think it went pretty good – at least I got a fare bit of positive feedback, but I still have a lot of learning to go I think. Josh is still hunting for jobs, but something will come up. As for our summer plans, we are contemplating going out west (to Saskatchewan for the Vanderstelt reunion, and maybe to the Calgary stampede while we’re out there). We’re hoping to go on a canoe trip in Algonquin for a few days (anyone interested in joining us???). We’ll prolly continue to spend a fare bit of time in Goderich, helping Josh’s family move and paint their new house. And of course, we’ll continue searching for a job for Josh. Anyway, I’m heading out to dinner with some friends so I should get going.

I am SO proud of you!! Man, you're so "grown up" now. Wow. Your own service. That's so cool.

Sorry to hear about the job not working out. Do you have any other interesting offers or are you just going to focus on your MDiv?

Have a wonderful time out West!!Sounds like it's going to be an exciting time!

I'm heading up north on Sunday for the summer. I was just offered a position a few weeks ago while I was up in Minden. Minden by the way, was FANTASTIC!

Hope to talk to you soon! It's been a while and I've been really bad at keeping in touch.
