There are only 16 days until I fly away to Kenya for just under a month, and only 14 days until the orientation begins. I'm so excited. So far I've made 2 skirts to take with me (I was surprised at how easy it was to sew a skirt) and I've done a bit of shopping to get culturally appropriate tops (no tank tops in Kenya - shoulders must be covered at all times) and I've got a list of things I still need to buy like sunscreen and what not. I've even got one of my texts books read and am a good chunk of the way through the second one (of three). I can't wait! I still have no idea what I'll be doing once I'm there, but I'm going to Kenya!!
Yesterday I met with someone at Knox College and it looks like I'm going to Knox next year! I just need to send my transcript to make sure my courses will in fact transfer properly, and then I'll be on my way. I'm so glad that most of this transfer stuff will be taken care of before I leave for Kenya. I'm going to miss Mac Div - I had two really fun years there and made a lot of friends, but I'm excited to be doing something new again. It seems that I am incapable of doing a whole degree at just one school... first I transferred from Western to Mac, and now Mac Div to Knox. Oh well.
Did I mention I'm freezing... I think something is wrong with either our furnace or our thermostate cause there is no heat inside today!
Prayer requests: Josh had an interview the other day and he's being considered so here's hoping that Josh might finally have a job...... but if it doesn’t turn out, please pray for him too.
And please pray for the Praxis team as we prepare to go to Kenya and meet the other half of our team that resides there.
